Ryno sled dog kennel
Ryne is the owner of Ryno Sled Dog Kennel and Chena Outdoor Collective. She and her sled dog athletes compete in the Iditarod and Yukon Quest - both 1000 mile races as well as various mid distance races around Alaska. Click here to learn about each individual athlete from Ryno Kennel!
Jeff Reid- Frozen Trident kennel
Retired Navy Seal- Jeff Reid and his pack of Alaskan Huskies enjoy lots of different adventures ranging from racing to expeditions to tours. Over the past 4 winters, Jeff competed in several mid distance races including the Percy DeWolfe Memorial Mail Race (200 mi), Copper Basin 300, Two Rivers 100, and Two Rivers 200. LaurA Allaway- Runner dance Kennel
Laura Allaway and her canine athletes operate Runner Dance Kennel. Laura is a veteran of the 1000-mile Iditarod and 1000-mile Yukon Quest sled dog races, but now focuses on adventures and guiding guests on dog sled experiences! Shaynee traska- howling ridge kennel
Shaynee Traska, her husband Jeremu, and there canine kids form Howling Ridge Kennel in Two Rivers, Alaska At the young age of nine, Shaynee (Seipke) told her parents she wanted to race the Iditarod someday. Shaynee formed Howling Ridge Kennel when she began training and racing her own team of dogs at age 14. What began as a four-dog team in Gladwin, Michigan is now a fifty-dog kennel in the heart of Alaskan mushing country. Kalyn Holl- SPare Parts Kennel
From Siberian huskies in Minnesota to Alaskan Huskies in Alaska, Kalyn has many years of mushing under their belt. After years of helping train and race other teams, Kalyn took the plunge and began their own kennel- Spare Parts Kennel. Home to 12 Alaskan Huskies, 1 Livestock Guardian Dog, and 1 Jack Russel, there is never a dull moment. Follow their adventures on Insta @spareparts_kennel
Lauro Eklund- Skookum Expeditions
Lauro Eklund was raised in Alaska and has been mushing since a young age. Mushing is his way of life from running traplines, hunting, fishing, and creating log rafts on the Yukon River- huskies are part of every aspect.
